We’re committed to improving lives through clean water and outstanding service. As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for a motivated Financial Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with US GAAP, and ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare the monthly US GAAP reporting package, including tax reporting
Continuously assess and improve the monthly close process to reduce timelines and increase efficiency
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and manage internal and external review processes
Support the preparation of quarterly earnings releases
Create and maintain an accounting calendar to ensure timely completion of key deliverables, including the financial close, Group Board package, press release, and SEC filings
Develop and maintain accounting policy documentation to drive clarity and consistency
Monitor changes in accounting guidance, interpret US GAAP updates, and prepare technical memorandums explaining complex issues
Communicate accounting developments clearly to the Finance Director
Assist with the coordination of annual audits and quarterly reviews with external auditors
Supervise international accounting issues, ensuring timely identification and resolution
Implement and maintain internal reporting procedures to comply with control requirements
Collaborate with the FP&A team on variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of Big 4 Audit/Consulting experience with US public companies
Fluent in both Italian and English (written and spoken)
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations, with the ability to research and present positions on complex accounting topics
Experience working with international accounting standards and issue resolution
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong execution skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow through and document thoroughly
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with HFM is a plus
High level of accuracy and organization
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and an independent work style
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines under pressure
